    Limitations & Important Caveats

    We believe in complete transparency. Here are the limitations you should be aware of:

    Private Finance

    We check major UK lenders but cannot guarantee coverage of all private or informal finance arrangements.

    Pre-2005 MOT History

    The DVSA digital records only begin from 2005. Earlier MOT history is not available.

    Undeclared Damage

    We can only report damage that has been declared to insurance. Unreported repairs will not appear.

    Imported Vehicles

    Vehicles imported to the UK may have limited history available for their time abroad.

    Real-Time Changes

    Some data sources update daily rather than in real-time. Recent changes may take up to 24 hours to appear.

    V5C Transfer Delays

    DVLA keeper records may take several weeks to update after a vehicle is sold.
